Kare Mobile

Kare Mobile, an organization committed to democratizing dental care, embarked on a mission to extend its services to underserved populations. Their innovative approach involves leveraging technology and empowering black entrepreneurs to deliver dental care through mobile clinics. However, a significant hurdle emerged as existing dental practice management software predominantly catered to brick-and-mortar offices, presenting a challenge for Kare Mobile's unique business model and objectives.

Challenge:

The existing landscape of dental practice management software assumed the traditional setting of stationary offices. Given Kare Mobile's commitment to reaching underserved communities, coupled with the intricacies of Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement rates, a pressing need arose for a scheduling app tailored to their distinct requirements. Moreover, the challenges associated with delivering dental care through mobile clinics added an additional layer of complexity, demanding a solution that could adapt to the dynamic nature of Kare's operations.

Objective:

Our mission was clear: to develop a comprehensive scheduling app that could revolutionize Kare Mobile's logistical operations. The goal was to automate the scheduling process, taking into account the unique challenges posed by mobile delivery, while also providing the team with the tools necessary to make informed decisions. The overarching aim was to enhance efficiency, reduce operational overhead, and enable Kare Mobile to scale its services to new markets successfully.

Approach:

The resulting scheduling app was designed to automate various aspects of the process, including appointment bookings, route optimization for mobile clinics, and integration with billing systems to streamline Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement workflows. The user interface was crafted for ease of use, ensuring that Kare Mobile's team could efficiently manage their schedules and respond to dynamic logistical demands. 

To pair with this, the other partnering piece of software was a consumer facing web app that needed to seamlessly blend with the existing website and their onboarding process of patients. We took to the drawing board and created a user-centric scheduling software that allows patients to schedule from anywhere, anytime, and most importantly letting Kare Mobile come to their neighborhood to meet their needs.

Outcome:

The newly developed scheduling app provided Kare Mobile with a powerful tool to navigate the challenges inherent in their mission. By automating  certain aspects of the scheduling process, the app significantly reduced administrative burdens, allowing the team to focus more on delivering essential dental care to underserved populations. The incorporation of route optimization features further enhanced efficiency, enabling Kare Mobile to reach more communities with increased precision.

Conclusion:

The collaboration between our development team and Kare Mobile resulted in the successful creation of a groundbreaking scheduling app tailored to the specific needs of mobile dental clinics. By embracing innovation and adapting technology to their mission, Kare Mobile is now better positioned to fulfill its commitment to making dental care accessible to everyone, especially those in underserved communities. This project stands as a testament to the power of technology in driving positive change and addressing unique challenges in the healthcare landscape.
