Arbit
Venita Cooper, the owner of Silhouette Sneakers & Art and a prominent figure in the Tulsa community, envisioned pioneering the creation of the first-ever pricing tool for the sneaker resell market. Her idea, which garnered attention from enthusiastic investors, aimed to develop an app that empowers users to determine fair prices for sneakers. The envisioned product would utilize an algorithm, considering factors such as rarity, brand, shoe model, colorway, size, quality, and hype, ultimately generating a fair-market price for sneakers.
Initial Objectives:
When Coop approached us, she had only an idea and needed assistance in presenting the concept of Arbit. Here are the key components we delivered for her fundraising efforts in the initial phase, accomplished at a remarkable pace in just a few weeks:
MVP Design and Development:
User Testing at Sneaker Tradeshows:
Outcome:
Following several compelling funding offers, the project expanded to include the development of an MVP in the form of a mobile app for both iOS and Android platforms. Strategically tested at sneaker tradeshows, the MVP garnered immediate feedback and validation.
User responses indicated that the design and execution of Arbit's mobile app resonated unexpectedly well with sneaker collectors and resellers. The MVP not only met but exceeded the expectations of the target audience, creating a significant buzz and generating a long line of eager users awaiting the beta first release. The success of the MVP confirmed that Arbit was addressing a fundamental gap in the sneaker resell market, providing clear, concise, and accessible data for both buyers and sellers in the dynamic world of sneakers.
The collaboration between Venita and the project team showcased the adaptability and scalability of the initial vision, demonstrating how the strategic development of an MVP can catapult a groundbreaking idea into a tangible, well-received product within a short timeframe. Arbit's journey from prototype to MVP serves as a testament to the project's success in closing a crucial gap in the sneaker resell market and generating anticipation for the forthcoming beta release.
