DHS Be A Neighbor

Facing the macroeconomic challenges impacting the middle to lower class, the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS) responded with the "Be A Neighbor" initiative. This aimed to address the resource gap for individuals and families in need.

The initiative sought to create a user-friendly platform, connecting Oklahomans with vital resources, from bus tickets to essential items for children.

Implementation:

"Be A Neighbor" integrated with the existing DHS management system, providing seamless access to the state database for administrative staff, field agents, and even law enforcement officers. The friendly interface, inspired by Oklahoma's thriving neighborhoods, ensured a positive user experience. 

Conclusion:

"Be A Neighbor" showcases Oklahoma DHS's proactive, community-centered approach, using technology to create positive change at the grassroots level. This case study underscores the potential of collaborative efforts to enhance community well-being.
